48 Hours Till the Los Angeles Meetup!

The down side – Your taxes are due on April 15th.

John Abraham wants you to come to the L.A. Sepia Mutiny Meetup.

The up side – You get to drown your tax sorrows with fellow mutineers at the first ever Los Angeles Sepia Mutiny Meetup!

How excited are we?!?

Date: April 15, 2006 THIS Saturday

<

p>Time: 5:30 pm

<

p>NEW Place: Tribal Café, 1651 W. Temple St., #A, LOS ANGELES

<

p>The SM Meetup Makin’ Machine has been working over time to make sure this Meetup is one not to be forgotten. We will have appearances by yours truly, Abhi, Payal, prateek(?), Ami +2, Rahul, Janani, Biggie Mac, Deepa +1…(anyone I’m missing?)

<

p>To answer Biggie Mac, I’ll be the one with the metal stud in my chin, but I’m pretty sure a mob of mutineers at Tribal will be hard to miss.

<

p>In an attempt to entice you further to come out for this not to be missed event, celebrity SM Blogger Abhi has offered to give every mutineer that walks through the door a private lesson on the secret Sepia Mutiny handshake which is known only by those who have entered the ND bunkers! How can you not come to now?

To further entice you, there’s a picture of John Abraham. So please come!

    I second all that…except, I’ll admit. I AM jealous!

  4. Can I turn up in my polyester pants and greesed on brlycream? I am not kiddin folks…,its ur call.

Only if you let people take pictures and post it on this site 🙂

what the hell is brlycream? brill cream?

  5. I think it might be Ami (+0). Plus I’m highly contagious, so it might not even be Ami. We’ll see how I feel in 24 hours =/

  6. Taz, Abhi, (and May be 1/2 dozen or so lurkers): I hope Kenyandesi, Chick Pea, MsIchana and others are serious in putting in a word for me. I could post few more of my pictures from back in the day with chops, but then again that would just make my son “JEALOUS”. You guys “HAVE FUN” in La La Land, for now with just the “Rear of John Abraham”!! Ha Ha.

  7. {I need to preface what I’m going to say next that I have been a fangurl to SM for quite some time and acknowledge having placed a ‘false’ sense of celebrity blog worth on some of the commenters)

I CAN’T believe that Yo Dad just commented on something I posted! Swoon!

Yo Dad, you will be sorely missed. But I’m sure Prasad will be sporting the brylcream and polyester pants, so that may take care of the sideburn cravings.

Abhi, are you jealous of your dad? Is that what this is all about?

As for the rest of you, I’ll see you in a few hours at Tribal Cafe!

  8. To Mac: Nope, I got nothin’. I guess, contrary to my memory, that I lurked for quite a while before actually posting a comment. How about you?

  9. Deepa, I’ve pinned down my first visit to either Nov. or Dec. 2004. Still looking through the posts, though, to see if anyone of them triggers a memory from that long ago.

  10. THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR COMING!!!!!!!!!!! There were appearances made by Deepa and her hubby, Biggie Mac, Payal, Ami, V.N. Rao, Janani, Rohit, Rahul, Lata and her friend whose name slipped my mind but doesn’t like that Opal book, Manu, and of course Abhi. We bonded, exchanged book recs, and afterwards, went to a free Mos Def show, after which I met the Mighty and he signed my hat. Swooooooooon! Janani, you should have stayed!!!!

  11. Mos Def signed your hat!?!? I’m immensely jealous! I had fun meeting everyone, yay for bloggers and their groupies =) Sincerely, ~the wide eyed newbie~
