The suicide bomber packed the briefcase with tiny ball bearings. The force of the explosion sent the ball bearings through this door frame… Adjacent to the front pillar is where my Uncle Ghazanfar was seated, reading his prayers… He suffered cranial fractures and has had 14 pieces of his skull removed…
The row directly in front of the crater is where a few of my cousins were sitting. They were shredded instantly…

Admission? 6,000 rupees for an invite, or $100 dollars… The party was also protected by policemen outside. Unbelieveable.

2) Lahore is the most impossibly beautiful city in South Asia. It reminds of Delhi 20 years ago, with the wide roads, beautiful gardens, teeming old city and pace of life.
3) Hockey in Gaddafi stadium is one of the greatest sporting experiences, period.
Salli’s haveli! I’ve had a LOT of very drunk nights there. I don’t think it’s quite as grand as your photographer is making it out to be, but if you ever decide to go on a walking tour of Lahore’s inner city, there’s no better way to start off than with breakfast (puris and bhajia etc.) at Salli’s.
