So. J.Lo does German TV wearing a very unique outfit; embroidered on the cuff of her white dead-animal-skin with more dead-animal fur-hooded jacket, there is a logo that includes an Iron Cross, a lightning bolt and skulls.
I don’t expect any of you to connect the dots THIS late in the day, so I’ll just TELL you what’s up– the design resembles patches that were once worn by SS troops during WWII. Thanks to Adolf Hitler, the Iron Cross transitioned from a “proud symbol of courage among German soldiers” to something that represented the Third Reich.
Many of you are aware of another symbol that was tragically misappropriated by Hitler– the swastika. Well, the way that Hitler ruined the Iron Cross was by–you guessed it (assuming you intellectuals are still reading about our gen’s liz taylor)–slamming a swastika on it. Heil Assh@le.

Suuuuuure. Hide behind the “Hindu” explanation. I have no doubt that when people see this swastika-less coat of his, they are thinking, “oh, isn’t it sad that something good from Hinduism was so misused?” :p
I’m positive that’s what J.Lo had in mind, too; she was obviously reclaiming symbols– for all of us.

As an aside, a friend from Oz was shocked when he saw a swastika in a picture of some temple. I had to explain that the Hindu swastika is turned the other way around…

“Iron Cross” was originally derived from the Christian Cross, and was used by German Army since early 1800s. Hitler then had his supremacist ideas imposed on the cross and added Swastika to it, as we all know. After the war, it’s use was banned, and was replaced by the original “Iron Cross” which is still used as the national symbol on Military Vehicles and other stuff in Germany.
The biker connection is kinda related to WW II returning GIs:
Famous German Bikes + Returning GIs with “Iron Cross” souvenirs + some GIs regroup to form Hells Angels + Biker groups later turn into Chopper Groups with some Rebel attitude + Use “Iron Cross” and other symbols + and so and so forth … = years later J Lo branded a Nazi … ???

The Badmash comic, while amusing, misses its mark. Those who were lobbying to ban the swastika were not New Age American hippies, but stuffy European bureaucrats. Trying to make up for their grandparents’ generation failure to confront Nazism, and their collaboration in rounding up Jews and other undesireables, they now engage in a symbolic act of banning a swastika. Thankfully, after about a month of talk, nothing came of it.

Not surprised by the replies of the sheeple. Indians have a different view of hitler than anglo-americans. Hitler broke the back of the british empire to make indian independence possible.
Indian indpenedence was happening regardless. Trying to say that Indians condone or actually think Hitler was ‘good’ in any way is demeaning to the hundreds of thousands of Indian men who fought and thousands who died bravely in WWII as a part of the allied forces in Europe and against the Japanese.
The uneducated/misled may feel that Hitler brought some good, but really, the Empire had many other issues other than war that resulted in Indian independence.
Despite the hatred the British inspired in their day, good leadership, a degree of forgiveness, and ending the colonial relationship the way they (India and Britain) did went a long way to heal many issues. You don’t see Indians asking for the blood of the british to this day despite over a century of rule.

Sheeple yourself. Yours is the Eurocentric/American perspective on history: all change in Africa and Asia is the result of white people doing something dashing. Organized Indian resistance to British rule began decades before Adolf Hitler was even conceived. And the British almost lost India in 1857.
