Please be noting date and time change&#8211; thanks.<\/em> :)]<\/p>\n\n<p>But first, a rushed write-up of what went down <em>last time<\/em>:<\/p>\n\n<ul><li>Icebreaker: The battle of the Jessicas- who is hotter, Alba or Biel? There were two poultry-submitted abstentions.<\/li>\n\n<li>Adorable Munish changed his vote when he realized he was, in fact, supporting an Alumna of <em>Seventh Heaven<\/em>: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I thought you meant <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jennifer_Beals\">the woman<\/a> from <em>Flashdance<\/em>!\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/li>\n\n<li>Once we started playing, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Who has the tiniest apt\u00e2\u20ac\u009d after one of you suggested having meetups in our homes, Jay said we should have used THAT as the icebreaker\u00e2\u20ac\u201d\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Hi, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m ___ and I have 400 sq ft!\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/li>\n\n<li>It was the reverse of our college years&#8211; Southies Reprazent!<\/li>\n\n<li>There was a minor TamBrahm crisis when we discovered that Amma had run out of vada, for the first time in nine years.<\/li>\n\n<li>I was smacked. Thrice. By our waiter. You can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t put a price on that kind of abuse.<\/li>\n\n<li>Two of the above three spankings occurred as THIRTEEN more people than the sixteen we expected showed.<\/li>\n\n<li>Once we ran out of table space: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Start sitting on laps. Sigh. I guess I&#8217;ll begin.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Plop.<\/li>\n\n<li>What is UP with the lack of RSVPing, meetup-crashers: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153This isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t a wedding, people!\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/li>\n\n<li>Murthy\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Law: Next time, we should reserve the entire restaurant. That way no one will show.<\/li>\n\n<li>We actually had to turn people away, for lack of space. \ud83d\ude41<\/li>\n\n<li>Can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t make it to the bathroom to wash your hands?  Use the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Indian Faucet\u00e2\u20ac\u009d a.k.a. a poorly-approximated finger bowl via drinking glass<\/li>\n\n<li>Subcontinental Drift (we love you!)\u00e2\u20ac\u02dcs <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/subcontinentaldrift\">MySpace page<\/a> <em>might<\/em> induce seizures.<\/li>\n\n<li>Me to Jay (of the blog Weaselplasty) \u00e2\u20ac\u0153All our friends are apparently stand-up comics (and they performed at SD)\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/li>\n\n<li>Said one, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Tortoise porn is available on YouTube.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Said <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanup.com\/1722122\">the Terp<\/a>, all dismissively, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I know about THAT&#8221;, as the rest of us exhibited the proper reaction to that statement, which is shock and horror.<\/li>\n\n<li>One attendee confessed that while this meetup was fabulous, they had \u00e2\u20ac\u0153<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sepiamutiny.com\/sepia\/archives\/004434.html\">hobbit envy<\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u009d about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sepiamutiny.com\/sepia\/archives\/004452.html\">Houston<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n<li>Library Science: it gets no respect<\/li>\n\n<li>Second Best line of the meetup: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Why are men always giving me money and then leaving?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/li>\n\n<li>A Tamil girl who was raised in Bombay tried to reconcile her identities by saying&#8230;she was like a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153paneer dosa\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/li>\n\n<li>Paneer Dosa has said she will be at the June meetup; that way you can mock her for her metaphor in person! \ud83d\ude09<\/li>\n\n<li>I ordered two Salt Lassis and four Madras Kappis.&nbsp; I received <a href=\"http:\/\/flickr.com\/photos\/suitablegirl\/508047858\/in\/set-72157600239028622\/\">ONE Madras Kappi<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n<li>Lemon Rice for me, dosas for EVERYONE ELSE<\/li>\n\n<li>Best line of the meetup: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Your picture on Shaadi.com was so much better!\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/li>\n\n<li>More on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sepiamutiny.com\/sepia\/archives\/004373.html\">Sunny Leone<\/a> and the greatness of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sepiamutiny.com\/sepia\/archives\/004361.html#comment130431\">snuff<\/a> films.<\/li>\n\n<li>Despite our most obnoxious attempts to be porntastic in order to clear the restaurant, so more of us could be seated, the packed place wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t bothered at <em>all<\/em> by our antics. Contrast this with Heritage India, where we sent them screaming out the door.
