The secret organization of illuminati known as the Priory of Sion (that you read about in The Da Vinci Code) is a hoax, of course. What isn’t a hoax however, is the shadowy and ultra-powerful Bilderberg Group who are meeting in Ottawa, Canada this weekend:
It’s like Woodstock for conspiracy theorists.
A serene suburban setting has been transformed into a four-day festival of black suits, black limousines, burly security guards — and suspicions of world domination…
It’s not the Freemasons.
Forget those fabled U.S. military men who tucked away UFOs in the Arizona desert.
These guys, you’ve probably never even heard of, and if you believe the camera-toting followers who attend all their meetings, they control the world.
They’re called the Bilderberg group.
They include European royalty, national leaders, political power-brokers, and heads of the world’s biggest companies. [Link]
If you happened to be at the airport in Ottawa yesterday you may have noticed a bunch of limo drivers holding up a single letter. That would have been a sign that a Bilderberg attendee was near at hand:
Greeted at the airport by limousine drivers holding single-letter “B” signs, global luminaries such as Henry Kissinger, David Rockefeller and Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands began arriving in Ottawa Thursday for the annual gathering of the ultra-secretive Bilderberg Group. [Link]
Before we get into who these guys are and what they are going to talk about (and who they are going to dominate) it is important to understand the historical context of why they got started:
The original Bilderberg conference was held at the Hotel de Bilderberg, near Arnhem, from May 29 to May 30 in 1952. The meeting was initiated by Polish emigre and political adviser, Joseph Retinger. Concerned about the growth of anti-Americanism in Western Europe, he proposed an international conference at which opinion leaders from European countries and the United States would be brought together with the aim of promoting understanding between the cultures.
Retinger approached Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands, who agreed to promote the idea, together with Belgian Prime Minister Paul Van Zeeland. The guest list was to be drawn up by inviting two attendees from each nation, one each to represent conservative and liberal points of view…<
p>The original intention of the Bilderberg group was to further the understanding between Western Europe and North America through informal meetings between powerful individuals. Each year, a “steering committee” devises a selected invitation list with a maximum of 100 names. Invitations are only extended to residents of Europe and North America. The location of their annual meeting is not secret, and the agenda and list of participants are openly available to the public, but the topics of the meetings are kept secret and attendees pledge not to divulge what was discussed. p>Keep in mind that this was originally intended to be a meeting of Europeans and Americans. After all, in the 50s when this organization was created, Americans and Europeans dominated the world. It was hard for me to find any non-whites and any attendees from the entire Southern hemisphere. On the 2005 attendee list I saw the name of only one single person of South Asian descent. It was…wait for it…Fareed Zakaria (who I wrote about earlier this week).

p>So there are a bunch of powerful old white people holding an ultra-secretive meeting, surrounded by a private army, with the intent of influencing global policy (including, I am sure, policy regarding India and China). Ottawa police officers are standing guard outside a dozen metal gates that serve as security checkpoints a half-kilometre from the hotel.
But Ottawa’s finest are clearly not in charge here.
To approach the hotel property, even these uniformed police officers are required to show their credentials to the half-dozen black-suited men working for Globe Risk, a private security firm.

Hmmm…interesting. I’ve always wondered about the Free Masons (a friend with a father in it) and whether it’s true that they control much of the world. Anyone actually believe that a few rich/powerful people control the fate of most of us?

The aura secrecy can bestow is quite amazing. Being in finance, I remember when Goldman Sachs was a partnership and how people (especially some anti-Semites) thought they really controlled the world economy. Now with the transparency of GS being publicly traded, conspiracy theorists have turned their attention to private money managers like hedge funds of private equity shops like the Carlyle group, in particular. Since they invest in defense companies, some even hold them responsible for 911, since they have profited from the increased business of defense contractors. (And both OBL’s and the Bush family invest in their funds–which are not available to the gerneral public…oooooh)
Maybe if access to SM becomes password protected, some of this aura can rub off on us, and perhaps we’ll be held responsible for the India/US nuke deal or something.

The post reminds me of another organization, which some of you may have heard of, known as The Order of Malta or, The Knights of Malta. The existence of this order is not a secret though there are a lot of theories about its role in the politics of the western world. I have read (with a pinch of salt) that this group, working closely witht he Roman Catholic Church, was instrumental in helping several Nazi officers escape Germany and settle in anonymity in South America. It is alleged that Pinochet was also a member of this group, one among an array of other high profile characters.

The sequence of events (or reasons) for the Sino-Indian war of 1962:
At the end of the Civil War in 1949, PRC (China) illegally occupied Tibet. Altho’ Tibetan language, customs, culture, socio-politico norms are unique, Tibetan govt. had never declared their free & independent state. The current Dalai Lama (His Holiness was then only a teenager) visited the PRC to meet Chairman Mao. Mao declared all religion was poison, thereby quelling any hopes of a diplomatic resolution to the Chinese occupation. The Dalai Lama was forced to flee undercover to India in 1959, where he has set up his Govt.in exile at Dharamsala, HP.
When PRC was formed, India (under Nehru) was keen to maintain friendly relations with an aggressive communist neighbour that had already occupied a non-hostile independent territory. Once the buffer state of Tibet evaporated, Nehru was forced to re-evaluate his stance. Nehru even signed a “Panch Shila” which formulated peaceful co-existence. A popular slogan was “hindi-chini bhai bhai”.
All this time border skirmishes with the Chinese had been a fact of life. In 1959, the Indian Army discovered an illegal Chinese (built & manned) road on the Indian territory of Aksai Chin (according to the McMahon line defined by the Simla Convention 1914). The PRC refused to honour this border agreement. In 1962, PRC attacked India & routed the Indian Army. Parts of Ladakh (Aksai Chin) were taken by the Chinese. The war ended when China declared a unilateral ceasefire. The PRC also assisted Pakistan in its 1965 war against India.
If it has to be done in secret then their up to no good! Why not end the conspiracy theorists and come clean with the truth…. Or just keep it secret and start a revolution… It is coming and people need to wake up or end up in a fema camp sniffing gas>……………Not too long to go now.
