In addition to the changes happenin in religion because of technology, one has to wonder abt the sudden revival of old(ish) religions. What with it being the age of aquarius and all, there’s been a definite resurgence in the ancient religions of the world, more commonly knowm as magic.. not necessarily black magic, but the occult in general.. be it alternate therapies, palmistry, astrology, tarots, gems, faeries, pixies, elves and what not more…
In India, however, I dont think that there is anythng that strange about magic… far as i know, magic and tantra have never really been out of vogue, have they? but when you are talkin about asking for blessings from gurus via sms… cant help remember that this started with the internet way before…Type in any word related to magick on any search engine and see what u get… just incase you dont believe me, that is…
